FESTICKET Traveller Guide

  • App can’t keep up.

Have been watching as the app gets slower and slower to refresh content I know is released daily. Nothing worse than looking forward to listening to a daily show to find the app has yet to make it available for listening.
  • Luminary Is Great

    Awesome HD podcast sound quality
  • Won’t stop charging me

Got this app for Spooked. Canceled after the free trial because it’s confusing to use and totally unintuitive. It no longer appears in my subscriptions but THEY KEEP CHARGING ME. I’m working with Apple too, but Apple doesn’t see it. They said there isn’t anything they can do. Totally unethical. Don’t even try it unless you want to be charged forever.
  • Really wanted to love this app

    By #Ruandy78
I love the content I find and try to use this daily but the app only opens half the time. I had to cancel my subscription since I can’t rely on it to play when I want to listen. If this is fixed I’d love to try again.
  • Great content, awful app

    By SunnyGins
This app is so buggy and not user friendly at all. Hoping the developers can sort this out before I give up and unsubscribe.
  • Unstable, crashes, not intuitive

For a platform that has premium content, it’s a dog. The luminary app crashes, freezes and rarely remembers where I left off. And yes, I have the most up to date version.
  • Updated next day ****

Edit.. exactly one day after my bad review and complaint an update was launched that so far seems to have worked to fix the issue!! Very happy with it, was able to catch up on a few different podcasts and switch between them while in the middle of episodes with ease and no more frustration! ☺️ thanks luminary! I subscribed to this app because of one podcast and ended up finding more I liked.. however, it never remembers when I’m in the middle of an episode or which ones I’ve already listened to so it replays them. It’s not nearly as user friendly as it should be for a paid for service. Please fix this. I’m considering dropping the subscription entirely. It’s been 100% frustrating and about 5% enjoyable.
  • Frustrating

I was in the middle of listening to a podcast and had to update the app. Now I’m stuck in an update loop. Hear to Slay is worth the price of admission but the technical bugs make it not as enjoyable as it could be.
  • Great content, terrible app

I love Luminary’s catalogue—there is distinctively better podcast programming here. However the app lacks many features of a basic podcast app. Playlists, queuing another podcast to play next, remember my place in a podcast or in a series of episodes.
  • Premium Intentions, Subpar Features

I subscribed to and used Luminary this fall so I could listen to the full season of Snap Judgement’s Spooked podcast. Spooked was great! The Luminary app, however, was not. My initial issue is that this is a content type that you can typically get for free elsewhere, and very few shows I’m interested in are exclusive to Luminary. Even past that, though, the app itself needs a lot of work. If I’m going behind a paywall to access this content I could get for free on Spotify or Apple Podcasts, I expect the app to be premium quality as well. However, there’s no CarPlay feature , no reliable subscription queue, and no guarantee your podcast will start back exactly where you left off. On top of that, there are a lot of tiny, irritating design features like clicking on the logo of a show you've listened to previously from the main browse page auto playing the most recent episode instead of letting you view the show’s episode list and details, even if you’ve missed an episode or two. This makes you have to reroute through the search feature to view the show details which is a pain and near impossible if you’re driving. There may eventually be a market for this app, but not in its current state. It needs vast feature improvements and desperately needs to work with CarPlay before it’s even worth downloading, let alone paying for monthly.
