  • Fun but could be better

Only being able to upgrade one building at a time makes for way too slow improvement time. Armadas need to be implemented sooner than later since there is a tipping point where you cannot complete any missions and it’s boring to wait days or weeks for station improvement until higher level ships can be unlocked. It would also be more fun if there was more strategy in the battles, like the option to fire torpedos, dodge other ships, etc. instead of just tapping and seeing what happens based on AI. It’s kind of fun still but could be better.

This game is hands down the most disgusting pay to win I’ve ever seen with each tier of every ship costing hundreds of dollars to upgrade. Of course, it can be played free if you enjoy a glorified Star Trek chat room while forever being the doormat for those who have spent $10,000+. Anyone heard the phrase “if you’re not paying for the product, you ARE the product?” It applies here too. I just refuse to condone this monetization model by being the fodder for others’ fun.

This is a pay to play platform with upgrades that do not jive with the advertised increases and benefits. Only the players that spend hundreds per month can advance. The game is not finished, max level is 39. PvP is a disaster with an unbalanced approach that only benefits paying players and the drop rates for materials you need to upgrade is worst than Vegas Casino Odds. Have fun playing until lvl 14, once your enter pvp levels get ready to pay a ton just to progress. Apple needs to investigate this company for such a glitchy fraudulent product.
  • A pay-to-win nightmare

This game is full of pay-to-win griefers and bullies that you won’t be able to defend yourself from unless you’re willing to spend several hundred dollars a week. Don’t bother

This game starts out fine rewarding you with bonuses and resources for the simplest tasks making you feel like you’re making progress. Then around level 14 all of your mission objectives involve beating ships that literally have more than 2-3x the stats and power of your own ships. You cant grind the proper resources needed to upgrade your ships because of the scaling meaning you have to spend money. It’s Not even subtle either. At first your objs have say, 6500 power which match the power of your own ships, then suddenly they all have 16,000 power. That’s an insane jump in difficulty without a corresponding jump for you. The game has a myriad of other problems but this is one of the most insulting
  • PvP balance is wrong

I cannot understand how I can’t attack someone two levels (20) lower when I can be attacked by a level 29 who has a ship 3x more powerful.

This is a good game, but continually crashes on iOS. This is a known bug with players on iOS and a fix has been promised for several months, but.....still waiting.
  • Pay to get ahead and never win.

ONLY CONNECTION TO STAR TREK IS THE GRAPHICS. This is right along side all the constant in-game giga purchase ripoffs coming out of China. Gene Roddenberry is spinning in his gave. If you are just now downloading this game to playing, you will never be able to win or get a head without spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Even though this is a dying game, there are still many original players from the initial game release, who spent thousands of dollars to stay on top playing. This game is still pay to win. Pay walls at every level. Other than the graphics, this game has nothing to do with Star Trek. Gene Roddenberry is spinning in his grave. Using the Star Trek name to fleece, swindle and trick fans money out of their money. You have been warned. Myself along with many other people quit playing this game. Scopley will not enforce their terms of use policy. Scopley allows players to verbally abuse, intimidate, threaten acts of physical violence against other player. Scopley along with CBS and others condone cyber bullying and cyber threats made to player by other players. Scopley has written policies against these acts, however, Scopley refuses to enforce their own policies as long as those who commit these violent attacks on other players continue to spend real money in game. The only connection this game has with Star Trek is the graphics. THIS IS NOT A FAMILY GAME. THIS IS NOT A STAR TREK GAME. As long as you do not mind other players threatening you with violence, foul language, mental abuse tactics to get you to quit the game, then this game may be for you. This is a pay to win/ pay go get ahead game. If you do play this game, be prepared to spend over $200.00 American dollars just to keep yourself from getting killed by player vs player. Without the initial investment of $200.00 dollars US. You will be killed and any progress you have made in game as far as mining resources will be lost and taken by those players who spent over $200.00 dollars US to get ahead and become more powerful than they should be in a balance game. Again, play at your own risk, Scopley will not enforce their terms of use and you will be open to all sorts of threats of physical violent and verbally abusive behavior behavior in Galactic Chat.
  • Great idea, poor execution.

This is a great example of how making something about money can ruin it. Prepare for the level 25 paywall. Don’t wanna spend $10,000 to be a top player? Get ready for financial loss, you will be raided and every resource you’ve collected taken. The events are comical, clans and individual people will spend hundreds of dollars to place first only to win what they could’ve purchased for less in the store. Other than that, there is a great community of players.
  • Serious legal issues that Apple is ignoring. Uninstalled

If you can sell people tokens (which can’t be stolen/pirated), but sell people actual resources that can be stolen, you’ve set up a system that encourages theft in the hopes that people will pay more cash to replenish what they’ve lost. Apple, why is this allowed? What’s wrong with you? Now let’s get into why this is the antithesis of a game. Games are supposed to be fun. They’re not supposed to drain your wallet at an alarming rate, or overcharge for virtual items that don’t offer any bang whatsoever for your buck, or give you a panic attack in the morning because someone attacked you while you slept and stole resources you paid a ridiculous amount of actual cash for, all because you didn’t have any more 8-hour peace shields to get a good night’s sleep. This game fails in all these ways. You could go out and buy a VR headset for what you’d pay in a month at a mid-20’s level in this game. HALF of a garbage character that’s not even playable is NOT worth $100. And how many currencies does one game need? Parsteel, tritanium, dilithium, 2, 3, and 4 star ore, crystal, or gas, and an absurd amount of ship parts and components that just over complicate the whole thing. Plus this game is the opposite of Star Trek. It rewards big for stealing and pillaging other people’s stuff, but extremely poorly for diplomacy. But are there dailies? Sure, if you choose to play this game instead of using those 12 hours a day for something other than trying to mine 3 star materials when there aren’t enough nodes, or killing over 100 enemies for various dailies in lackluster fight scenes that don’t involve any skill or fun, all for loot boxes that reward garbage compared to the insane amount of resources you need to upgrade anything at level 25. Oh, and did I mention mining? Somehow they think this is fun. It’s not. Getting blown up 5 minutes after sitting on a node because people are desperate and they didn’t add enough of them is not fun. Sitting around and waiting to get one rather than blow someone up (because this is STAR TREK where you’re not supposed to be a jerk) is not fun. And making the cost of upgrading a station module TWICE what your generators can create is not fun. And the balancing is so off it’s just ridiculous. Why does an Envoy have more than 20 times the protected cargo of a north star? I now wake up happier than I’ve been in months. No more 20 notifications saying, “ALERT: YOUR STATION HAS BEEN ATTACKED!” only to find the resources you’d been collecting for weeks are all gone. No more setting countless alarms and timers to make sure my mining ships are off a node in case some trigger-happy fool is gonna take you out. No more checking on your peace shield to make sure you don’t get robbed. No more frustration about how not-like-star-trek this whole thing is. Having to stop at every system between 2 points? That’s not how warp works. Making you pay dilithium for research and building non-warp-capable things? That’s not how dilithium works. And why is it that I can’t control a ship and, you know, have fun, but you have to initiate stupid obvious commands like “repair ship”? It’s there and it’s broken. Seriously? Don’t install this. As much as you’d like to think you’ll get somewhere without paying a couple thousand dollars a year, you won’t. This game is greed and stupidity at its finest, and an insult to Trek. Gene Roddenberry would be rolling in his grave if he knew this thievery was attached to his legacy. And honestly, I’ve never seen a company overestimate the value of something so absurdly. $200 for “Carol,” who, like everything else, is unplayable and dull? I could hire an actual person that’ll provide a lot more fun for a lot less than that. I’m literally boycotting the franchise until they revoke the licensing rights from Scopely for this abomination.
