Choose your language: Spanish, French, Japanese, German, Korean, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Portuguese, Arabic, Norwegian, Dutch, Swedish, Polish, Turkish or Danish. Here's why we're different: We've got killer learning science behind the scenes. It speeds up your learning and helps you remember your new words, as if your mind keeps hitting the save button. Not that you'd notice. You're too busy watching fun video clips, seeing real locals in bucket-list destinations and playing little quiz-type games. The opposite of textbook learning. Wherever you Memrise, you're a million miles from the classroom. Then the good bit happens. You're in the moment, a local wants to talk. Do you freeze up? No. Not on our watch. You recall the key phrases you learned. You speak naturally. Not perfect but it's still good banter. You aren't worried. You're just going for it. You're off-the-charts confident. Mic drop. Download Memrise to: - Learn with locals: we took real native speakers and shrunk them into the app. Your miniature friends help you learn fun, conversational phrases. A few swear words too. - Practice games: our science does one-to-one coaching with your mind, while you have fun with Speed Review, Listening Skills, Difficult Words and Classic Review. - Improve your pronunciation: so when you say 'beaucoup' (a lot) you never accidentally say it 'beau cul' (nice ass). Record yourself and our smart tech will tell you if you got it right or need to try again. - Learn anywhere: download your course to learn in places that don't have signal and seem to be stuck in the 80s. - Build an entertaining habit: learn as much or as little as you want. You only need 5 minutes a day to improve. Perfect for making your loo break a lot more fun. ------ Choose the subscription that's right for you: One-month subscription for $8.99 Three-month subscription for $18.99 Twelve-month subscription for $59.99 Lifetime subscription for $99.99 ----------------------- PLEASE NOTE: You need a Memrise subscription to access all courses and features. • Wow! What a great app

    By Esmy#7
This app is great for learning a new language for beginners. It introduces the word and has many ways for you to learn it. Actual people say the word and you are given many description of the word. It’s really helping me with my Chinese.
  • Excellent for vocabulary learning

    By dntbastranger
Memrise is an excellent app to learn new and review already learned vocabulary. It gives you the task to identify word meaning among a few options. A few words at a time make for easier retention. You can start at a level of difficulty that meets your learning level. You practice spelling the words as a write in. Great reinforcement. Is there a feature to hear how the word is pronounced?
  • Streaks

    By starcrysisooc
I do Duolingo and Memrise at the same time time (not the same clock time, but when I do Duolingo, I do Memrise afterward) and I keep losing my streaks on Memrise, and not Duolingo. It’s really annoying. It’s gotta be 24 hrs apart, because that’s how Duo works.
  • i really like this app but..

    By 🐲DragonTamer🐲
i miss the old space theme, it was so calm and relaxing. now it just looks like someone inverted the colors, its not really pretty anymore. i understand if its because writing space themed update logs was annoying, but it was such a nice touch; even if it was annoying you could have stopped and kept the theme. we would understand.
  • Even though I have to watch it again, Awesome!

  • Ehh

    By Txredfelix
I like what I’m able to access but when I try to click on grammar, I get an error message. I’ve tried uninstalling and installing to no avail. I would buy if I knew the other lessons would actually work.
  • gifs for ASL are necessary and broken

    By blueXenologer
The app is not rendering animated gifs for any of the ASL courses. Even with the course downloaded, they're broken. I have a months-old thread about it on your forum too. So I'm putting it here in hopes someone will actually fix it. The gifs work on the vocab list, but not in the "new words" section. This is not a new bug. I'm a lifetime member so please, help me keep recommending this app.
